Found on triplag from Dark Summer:

    Hi people!

Few years ago i discovered an old harmonium in my closet, 20 years old. Very simple instrument. I plugged it into power and played it. Some of the keys had a very bad and rusty contacts, so the sounds they produced were realy distorted and to me…pleasing. I recorded a lot of it on my PC and then streamed it through some effects, guitar amp simulation mostly and so got new even more interesting sounds. Now I edited everything and coupled a few of the most interesting sounds. I even used them in some of the tracks on album(Wild Leap). You can find them here free for download:

envelope looping is cool… turning ableton's operator into a 4 “instrument” drum machine (that is: by holding a sustained note/looping a note so that its “endless”) is something I hadn't ever thought of.

is there anyone that can talk about that jimi hendrix guitar sound in depth? I'm just curious EXACTLY what types of settings were used on what pedals/fx and in what order… I was just listening to Dark Side of the Moon and realised that they had a lot of that some sound going and of course A LOT of great rock bands did at the time (Robin Trower, Steve Hillage!!) but I don't play guitar so I can just hear auto-filtering, chorus, delay etc…. but something about all those guys in that 2-3 year period has that same “thing” going on. and no I'm not talking about the difference in brands or the fact that it was analog….. just delay time's, polarities etc..  I guess I could google it lol.  I just want to make some presets/racks and try it on like EVERYTHING to see what happens.

Here's some decent (don't quote me on it) free plugins:

and better yet, some very complex spectral plugins (also free):

Unfortunately for those of you still clasping on to the failure that is Windows for audio production, the second link will be of no help to you.   😉

destroysound: is it worth d/ling? I can't watch the video at work.. but I found the other twisted tools to have a harder learning curve for reaktor noobs like myself….  or should I say.. I'll d/l it when I get home is it worth learning how to use lol?

It sounds awesome. Looks like a great alternative to things like Glitch or Effectrix. Also, recently I've been playing with Fruity's audio-stream mangler, Gross Beat, which is tits.

yeah I have the demo of fl studio on my pc… but having the demo limitations and a difficult time switching between that and my mac/ableton setup is very un-inspiring..

man my new studio turned out sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo nice that I'm not sure if I should be going to earthdance! I spent like 2000 over the last couple of weeks  😛

designingsound.org    is pretty cool if your into-getting into recording with mics/field recordings I flipped all the way back to his first post and got stuck reading/listening for hours…. sucks alot of the older audio recordings are down 🙁
